No screen-scraping. No license keys mailed in shrink-wrap. We authenticate once, refresh tokens on the standard schedule, and call the same endpoints your front desk's browser does. That's why our Ascend integration ships ahead of legacy-Dentrix write-back even though Dentrix has been on the market longer.
How Aria works with Dentrix Ascend
Dentrix Ascend integration is in active development against Henry Schein's REST API. Read sync (patient lookup, schedule visibility, insurance read) targets Q3 2026; two-way booking + write-back targets Q4 2026. Voice and chat work day-one independent of Ascend status.

Aria authenticates to Ascend's API directly with OAuth 2.0. There's no Sikka, no eDex, no Windows service running on a server in the back office. If your network goes down, Aria still answers — and reconnects to Ascend when it's back.

On every inbound call, Aria looks up the caller in your Ascend tenant by phone, surfaces last visit, primary provider, balance, and active insurance plan within milliseconds.

Stedi 270/271 eligibility runs in under 60 seconds and is delivered via Aria's dashboard. Q4 2026 brings native write-back to the patient's Ascend insurance record.

Ascend's tenant model maps cleanly to Aria's per-location routing. A multi-location DSO running Ascend can route inbound calls to the right office without any extra plumbing.
OAuth 2.0 + scoped access
Aria requests only the API scopes it needs (patients, schedule, insurance). You can revoke access from your Ascend admin console at any time. No service accounts. No shared passwords.

An Ascend admin grants Aria's app the patient/schedule/insurance scopes from your Ascend tenant. That's it — no IT visit, no firewall changes, no agent install.

Until our Ascend write-back ships, we won't quote Ascend-specific outcome numbers — that would be making them up. What we will say: every Aria practice (regardless of PMS) goes from a typical 60–70% live-call answer rate to 100%, and insurance verification turnaround drops from days (or never) to under 60 seconds. Ascend practices get those benefits day-one. The Q4 2026 write-back release adds the bookings-flow-into-the-PMS layer that brings Ascend parity with our Open Dental integration.
How Aria for Ascend differs from generic AI receptionists.
Most AI receptionist vendors lump Ascend in with on-prem Dentrix and treat both as a black box, surfacing data via Sikka or — worse — by automating clicks on the front-desk browser.
